Stoic Concept
Eudaimonia (Stoic Version)
Flourishing life achieved through virtue and wisdom.
While sharing the Greek concept of eudaimonia (flourishing), Stoics defined it specifically as living according to virtue and reason. Unlike other schools that included external goods, Stoic eudaimonia depends entirely on character and choices. This makes flourishing achievable for everyone regardless of circumstances, since virtue is always within our power to develop and practice.
