Stoic Concept
Stoic Courage (Andreia)
Bravery in facing challenges and doing what is right.
Courage is the virtue that enables us to face difficulties, take appropriate risks, and do what's right despite opposition or fear. For Stoics, courage isn't just physical bravery but moral strength - the willingness to stand up for our values, speak truth to power, and persevere through hardship. It includes the courage to change when we're wrong, to admit our mistakes, and to grow beyond our comfort zones. Courage makes all other virtues possible by giving us strength to practice them when it's difficult.
